About Dr. Kim

Richard Kim, MD, is a primary care sports medicine specialist at Princeton Sports and Family Medicine, P.C., serving patients of all ages in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. He is board certified in sports medicine as well as physical medicine and rehabilitation.

Dr. Kim’s medical training focused on musculoskeletal injuries, traumatic brain injuries, neurologic and rheumatologic disease. He also specializes in peripheral joint injections, ultrasound, and spinal procedures. During his residency, Dr. Kim served as chief resident and was the first recipient of the Deborah Brathwaite MD Award for Professionalism and Patient Care. 

Dr. Kim then went on to complete his fellowship in sports medicine at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune Township, New Jersey, where he spent his year treating athletes from all over the state. While there, he treated a wide range of adult and adolescent musculoskeletal injuries and sports-related concussions. His training specifically focused on diagnosing and treating sports-related concussions.
